Golden Bakers began in 1983, founded by members of the Despi family to bring the warm, familiar taste of Filipino bread to the growing Filipino community in Southern California. From those early days, we've grown into a dedicated wholesale bakery known for our Pan de Sal, Pan de Leche, and Mamon—staples in many households for generations.
Over the years, the bakery has evolved, but our commitment to quality, hard work, and community has never changed. We take pride in knowing our customers and their families, and in being part of the everyday moments that matter.
Golden Bakers is one of several bakeries connected through the Despi family's long tradition of baking, with roots and relationships that span across the West Coast and beyond.
As we look ahead, a new chapter is taking shape with the upcoming launch of a retail bakery opening in early 2026—continuing our tradition of bringing comfort home.
